A few ICSS students had the fantastic opportunity to learn coding from professionals at Redkite, a specialist data consultancy in London. Several employees from ‘The Community Squad’ take part in voluntary initiatives and one of these programmes is Action Tutoring. ICSS is fortunate to have Sam who works at Redkite who volunteers to support ICSS students with science sessions online, particularly Chemistry. He told his employers about ICSS and they wanted to show some of our students coding language such as Python.

Four to five students were selected to work one to one with Redkite volunteers to have sessions once a week for six weeks from June onwards. The students really enjoyed their sessions and found them and the volunteers engaging and impressive. Thank you to all those at Redkite who supported our students and gave them the opportunity to learn coding as a new skill!
