We are pleased to share that the Ilford Lane Food Bank (ILFB) is introducing a new system for registering food bank service users, designed to help us better support our community.
This new approach will allow us to more fairly allocate purchased items from public donations as and when available with items such as butter, eggs, and nappies. By improving how we track and distribute these goods, we can ensure that support is balanced and reaches those who need it most. This will enable fairness to all attendees and also give donors confidence that their contributions are being used responsibly, we aim to distribute resources equitably prioritising those who need them most while making the best possible use of what is available.
As part of this update, service users will receive a card featuring a personalised QR code. This code will be used to record the items provided during each visit, helping us maintain an accurate and efficient system while continuing to respect dignity and confidentiality.
We believe this change will enhance the way we deliver our services and enable us to make the best use of available resources for everyone we support.
