While it is rather a quiet month, ICSS is preparing for the build-up to Christmas. On Christmas Eve, ICSS works with volunteers from other local food banks and charities to collect end of supermarket food that would otherwise be thrown away (due to closure on Christmas Day), when many other charities are closed and unable to collect. These food collections are then distributed to families and many vulnerable people in need which is invaluable in the current cost of food and energy crisis. This also reduces food waste to landfill.

ICSS is also contiuing with online teaching support for children who need it. We are very grateful to our vo;lunteers who help in teaching these children as their time and support is invaluable.
